    The global blended temperature product for September - November 2000 shows contrasting anomalies across the Northern Hemisphere. The warmest anomalies were noted over central Europe, greater than 4C over Scandinavia. In contrast, cool anomalies were observed over much of the western portion of the United States, and western Siberia. In the Southern Hemisphere, most land areas were at or below average with the exception of southern Australia were temperatures were above average.
