As noted by the NOAA National Weather Service Miami Office (Rusty Pfost), near-record warm and dry conditions were observed during June in southern Florida. Extremes of note include:
- second warmest June since at least 1948 at Fort Lauderdale
- second driest June at Miami Beach since 1942
- second driest May-June at Miami Beach since 1942
- third driest May-June at Fort Lauderdale since 1913
- sixth driest June at Fort Lauderdale since 1913
